Please read the following expectations before signing up for the Traveling Adventures of Barnaby Buckle.
1. Using the Interest Form, sign up for one or more weeks for the 2012 - 2013 school year, (September, 2012 - May, 2013).
2. For your assigned week, your class will create a 'chapter' that describes the adventures that Barnaby Buckle has had during his virtual visit to your classroom. Be sure to include any historical facts that are important to your area, landforms, climate, tourist areas, and any other information you would like to include.
**Be sure to read all of the previous adventures that Barnaby Buckle has had before coming to your classroom. Is there a way you can connect the previous adventure to your adventure?
3. Include your mark on the Map Page.
4. Post your 'Chapter' on the correct 'Month Page'. Make sure you sign it with your classroom name.
5. Post at least one image either above or below your 'chapter'. The image should be something from your story. For instance, if you wrote about Barnaby Buckle visiting famous landmark then you may want to include a picture of that landmark.
**You may choose one of the images of Barnaby Buckle, print out, and include in your photo. (Or you can use Photoshop or other editing software to include him in the photo.)
6. Make sure you own the rights to the photo you post or that the image is a Creative Commons photo that can be used freely and edited if you choose to include Barnaby Buckle.
7. You may also want to use a Web2.0 tool such as VoiceThread, Glogster, Animoto, etc., and create a multimedia project that includes Barnaby Buckle and your classroom. (Do NOT include students names on the project.)
